Interact Club
Oh let the hand of friendship,
Be stretched across the sea,
To bring mankind together,
In one fraternity,
May love and understanding,
Prevail in one and all,
May brother come to sister,
To answer duty's call,
We're faithful Interactors,
Prepared to play our part,
To serve with love and needy,
With understanding heart,
When nations join with nations,
To build a brave new world,
Thus than the heart of children,
Shall sing the song of mirth,
Let not your feet be lagging,
But come and join our throng,
Let's fill this world together,
With friendship happy song!

After our Final Exam, the Community Service Director, Michelle Lim and her assistant, Vivian Yeunh organised a trip to Rumah Sayangan, an orphanage located in Taman Billion, Cheras on the 25th of October 2008. Around 15-20 of the Interact Members were involved in this trip. We arrived at approximately 10am, and we started with our first agenda, Ice Breaking! Clockwise from top: Andrea. CarmenC. Ruby. Viven. Angeline.
We had to introduce ourselves, and we were divided into groups. After that, we were asked to choose our group names, and to start picking songs to sing. CarmenC helping the kids with the name tag.
What's the name of their group? Lee Chong Wei. xD
Different groups sang different songs, but all of our songs were picked from the High School Musical 1 & 2. Looks like the kids love HSM? Haha. Anyways, after that, we went outside of the house and started playing musical chairs. Those kids were cheeky! They have tricks to win the game. ><" Haha after the game, we went into the house to get some rest, and played more.
So cute right! Haha Musical Chairs. Pop the balloons!
Then we had lunch. Chicken rice was on the menu! Thanks Dickson for helping us to buy lunch! Haha we sat together to have our lunch while chit-chatting and getting to know each other better. =] After having lunch with them, the Interact members cleaned the place up and we sat in a circle, singing. ... While Grace was enjoying her time disturbing Dickson. =XWe left the place at around 12.30pm. We definitely did have a great time there, didnt we? =] Pictures of the Day! Joo Hui with Grace! Terance with Joshua! Michelle with Joshua too!

13th September 2008 is a very important date for all of us interactors because it was the day that we're being installed on our post. :D
And here are the details: Date : 13th September 2008 Time: 8.35 am - 10.35 am Venue: Sri Garden's Dewan Tan Sri Dato' Loy Hean Heong
the backdrop for installation This year's interact installation was joined between 5 clubs. They were: 1. The Interact Club of SMK Seri Bintang Utara 2.The Interact Club of SMK Convent Bukit Nanas 3.The Interact Club of SMK Aminuddin Bak 4. The Interact Club of Sri Garden 5. The Youthact Club of Sri Garden
And there were some VIPs that joined us on that day too. They were: 1. Rtn. Francis Chan 2. Rtn. Hardeep Singh 3. Rtn. Dato Mustaphama 4. Rtn. Steve Low The event ran smoothly and they were plenty of fascinating performances such as Choir performaces from SBU's interact club, latin dance performaces by the SG's interact club, and lots more which I cannot recall :P sorry. And I'll post up the latin dance performance soon.
There where also interesting games involving members of other schools which was hosted by our very own Comunnity Service Director, Carmen Cheong. It was rather a sucess, thanks to everyone's support. And the embarrassing moment was... I was forced to do a chicken dance with several people infront of everyone. However, I had alot of fun. And here's some random pictures taken on that day.
